After reading this article you will understand what the VIP Booker is and what it is used for. You will also understand certain terminology and concepts that are required to properly work with VIP Bookers.

1. What is a VIP Booker?

A VIP Booker is a front-end tool (a website) that is created in a couple of clicks in the iXpole Back Office. The VIP Booker is used as another channel to communicate and transact with your business partners in the context of 1 specific Calendar Item. 
To use the VIP Portal, the End User has to be known and registered in the iXpole Back Office and needs to have been granted the proper rights in the application. 
The VIP Booker on the other hand, apart from one exception, is a fully public website which can be accessed by anyone. 

2. What are VIP Bookers used for?

Just like the VIP Portal is uniquely linked to an Account, the VIP Booker is uniquely linked to a Calendar Item.


Within iXpole you can create multiple VIP Bookers per Calendar Item, but you can not link a specific VIP Booker to multiple Calendar Items. 
That is also why it is not possible to perform season sales (subscriptions) via the VIP Booker


The main objective of the VIP Booker is to

  • either sell products (commerce) linked to a specific Calendar Item
  • or to allow people to register themselves for a Calendar Item or register information related to a Calendar Item
It is very important to understand the difference between a commerce and a registration VIP Booker.

Here is an example why you might be interested in creating more than one VIP Booker for 1 single Calendar Item:
  • You want to allow certain people to pre-register for a specific service during a Match or Event
  • You have not succeeded in selling out a certain stand. You want to do a specifc promotion on this and allow people to buy their Tickets for this stand online at a preferred rate
  • In 2 of your Hospitality Locations, you are not yet sold out. You want to make publicity around this on socials and online and you want interested parties to register for these Hospitality Packages online.
  • You have decided to create a very specific Hospitality Package targeted at a very specific segment of you customer base. You can target them using the iXpole mailing tools and have them click through to a VIP Booker to register online
  • You want to set up a survey at the end of an event and have people respond to it online
3. VIP Online

VIP Online is the group name for both the VIP Booker and the VIP Portal. When we want to refer to both at the same time, we will use the term VIP Online. 

4. VIP Booker Styling

A VIP Booker is a website that will be visited by your prospects of customers. It is important that you make sure that the look & feel of this website is inline with your house style.

But even if you have a clear house style, there are reasons why different VIP Booker websites could have slight variations on the style. If you want to capture registrations for the New Year's reception of your business partners, you might want the VIP Booker to have a festive layout. On the other hand, you might also want to make sure that every VIP Booker you create to sell Hospitality, has exactly the same look & feel, independent of the Calendar Item it is linked to. 

To manage the look & feel of different VIP Bookers, we have created the concept of VIP Booker Stylings.
For every VIP Booker website you create you will have to select a Styling. In the example above, you could create a festive Styling, which you re-use every year for the NewYear's reception. But you could also create a 'Matchday' Styling which you use every Match to sell your Hospitality Packages.
