An Entrance determines where ticket holders enter a venue. Configure entrances centrally, then assign them to the relevant sections, hospitality locations, and product groups. The venue's seating and parking lists show the resulting assignments.
In this article you will learn how to configure venue entrances
Let's get you started
- Add an entrance
- Edit an entrance
- Assign entrances
- Remove an entrance
Add an entrance
Open Venues >> Entrance flow for the venue. Add an entrance and give it a description. A code is optional. You can also record external references when your integrations require them.
Edit an entrance
Return to Venues >> Entrance flow and open the entrance. You can change its description, code, or external references. Existing entrance codes are preserved when you update older venue data.
Assign entrances
On the same page, configure the applicable sections or hospitality locations and then select one or more entrances. The searchable list shows the full section hierarchy. You can also configure product groups and set event-specific assignments where needed. Section and stage assignments support optional zones and a colour. Existing assignment priority is retained.
You can also start from the venue's seating or parking list: select an entrance to edit its assignment, or add an assignment where none exists. Use tags to select multiple entrances in venue and event settings.
Remove an entrance
Open the entrance from Venues >> Entrance flow and remove it only after its assignments have been cleared. iXpole prevents deletion while the entrance is still assigned.
Note
If automatic ticket replacement is enabled under Admin >> Tickets >> Barcodes, an entrance change can replace affected eligible tickets. Editing a hospitality location by itself does not trigger automatic replacement.
