Use Actions on the Tickets page when you need to change selected Tickets or record an operational action. The menu contains five actions. Review the selected tickets and the confirmation message before applying one.
In this article you will learn what each ticket action does
Let's get you started
- Select the tickets and enter a reason
- Change ticket status
- Trigger an update
- Replace tickets
- Release tickets
- Record manual access
Select the tickets and enter a reason
Open Tickets. Find the tickets, select their checkboxes, and open Actions. The menu is available to users with the required ticket access level. All five actions apply to every selected ticket. After you choose an action, the confirmation shows the number of selected tickets and asks for a Reason. Enter a reason of up to 100 characters, then confirm. iXpole records the reason with the action. You can inspect a ticket's action log afterward.

Change ticket status
Start on Tickets, select the tickets, and choose Actions >> Change ticket status. This reverses each selected ticket's current validity: a valid ticket becomes invalid, and an invalid ticket becomes valid. A mixed selection is changed ticket by ticket, so the result may contain both valid and invalid tickets. Check each ticket's current status before confirming. The action log records the new status and your reason.
Trigger an update
Start on Tickets, select the tickets, and choose Actions >> Trigger update. This refreshes the tickets' update timestamp and records a forced update action with your reason. Use it when a downstream ticket process needs to pick up the selected tickets again. It does not change the ticket's validity, guest, or seat by itself. Check the action log to confirm that the update was triggered.
Replace tickets
Start on Tickets, select the tickets, and choose Actions >> Replace tickets. iXpole replaces each eligible selected ticket with a ticket that has a new barcode; the old barcode no longer grants entry. The action log links the old and replacement tickets and records your reason. Distribute the replacement to the holder if they need a new copy. Some tickets, such as already scanned tickets or tickets with a fixed or external barcode, cannot be replaced. If a selected ticket fails, the action stops and earlier tickets in the selection may already have been replaced. Check the action logs before trying again. For individual replacement and automatic replacement rules, see Ticket replacement.
Release tickets
Start on Tickets, select the tickets, and choose Actions >> Release tickets. This releases the selected tickets through the Back Office and records your reason. iXpole also cancels Hospitality linked to those tickets. Check the selection carefully: the tickets will no longer remain assigned as they were before the release. Review the affected sale and ticket details after confirming.
Record manual access
Start on Tickets, select the tickets, and choose Actions >> Manual access. This writes a manual entrance action to each selected ticket's action log, with your reason and the current time. Use it to record access that you handled outside the normal scanning flow. It records the event in iXpole; it does not physically scan a barcode at the entrance.
