Connect iXpole to Claude
Add the iXpole MCP App to Claude once. You can then use the connection in your conversations.
In this article you will learn…
What you need, how to add iXpole to Claude and how to check the connection.
In this article:
Before you begin
You need:
- A Claude account that allows you to add or use a custom connector.
- An active iXpole MCP App for your organisation.
- The API key from the MCP App in iXpole. Copy it from the app. If you cannot access it, ask your iXpole administrator.
The MCP server address is https://apps.ixpole.com/ai/mcp.
Add ?code= to the address, followed immediately by your API key:
https://apps.ixpole.com/ai/mcp?code=YOUR_API_KEY
Replace YOUR_API_KEY with the complete API key copied from the MCP App in iXpole. Include all characters, including any = characters at the end. Do not add spaces or quotation marks.
For example, the fictitious API key Example123 gives this address:
https://apps.ixpole.com/ai/mcp?code=Example123
Use the complete address in Claude. The API key is separate from the temporary six-digit authenticator code used when you sign in personally. You do not need a separate client ID or client secret for this connection.
Note The complete address contains your organisation's API key. Use it only in the connection settings. Hide the key in screenshots and do not include it in public documents.
Add the connection
Start in Claude on the web.
- Open
Settings>>Connectors. - Select
+ Add>>Add custom connector. - Name the connector
iXpoleand paste the complete address, including?code=and your API key. - Select
Continue. UnderAuthentication, chooseNo sign in: iXpole checks the API key in the address. Continue if prompted. - Leave additional sign-in and header settings empty. Select
Add. - Open a conversation and enable iXpole through
+>>Connectors.
For Team and Enterprise, an authorised administrator first adds the connector through Organization settings >> Connectors >> Add >> Custom >> Web. Members then find it under Settings >> Connectors and select Connect if shown.
Check that iXpole appears in your connectors list.
Check the connection
Start a new conversation with iXpole enabled. Ask:
Use iXpole. Which iXpole organisation am I connected to?
Check the name in the response. If it is not your organisation, ask your administrator to check the connection address before requesting results.
