When opening an Account Record, you can see 4 different checkboxes: Active, Prospect, Key Account, Internal. Each has its own use and can help you with your Accounts knowledge.

After reading this article, you will know what those checkboxes are for and how you can use them.

Let's get you started

Active:

An Account must always be Active to attach a sale to it. If your Account is not Active, then you can't sell anything to it.
You can deactivate it only if you are sure not to do business with this company, but still want to keep the Account history.

Prospect:

This is a field that has been created to make a distinction between an actual customer and a prospect. It allosws to keep track of Accounts that are not customers yet for sales and marketing purposes.

Key Account:

This field is mainly a legacy field that will disappear in future releases.

Internal:

If you check this field, no invoice will be generated for this Account. This is perfect for organisation or people that you won't invoice. E.g. scouting, players family, officials, etc.

Don't use this field for prospects that you give free tickets to. You may want to generate a fully discounted invoice instead.

It can be relevant to create different Internal Accounts for different Internal customers in order to track how many Tickets you have offered during the Season.
